CD including all soundtracks from the 'John See Soundtracks' LP (an adult video series directed by John Duncan, produced and released in Japan by Kuki Inc., Tokyo) and, as a bonus, the 24-minute soundtrack from 'Move Forward'. From noise to conceptual installations, shortwave-radio to environmental recordings, John Duncan has been one of the most consistently confrontational, powerful, and compelling masters of experimentation of the last 20 years. Highly recommended!
JASON CRUMER "FUTURE WITH NO CHANCE" 12" VINYL LP - € 12
1st solo LP from member of Face Down In Shit and American Band, super harsh noise and power electronics, Sutcliffe Jugend meets Macronympha. Fucking amazing!
DEATHPILE "NE PLUS ULTRA" CD - € 8
Thick, unrelenting nihilism from this power electronics hero, Piercing yet psychedelic power electronics. Limited to 500 copies.
BURNING STAR CORE "LET'S PLAY LIKE WILDCATS DO" CD - € 12
New full-length CD from Spencer Yeh's raging Burning Star Core project. The first of the two lengthy tracks is reminiscent of Faust / Conrad Outside The Dream Syndicate, augmented with a brass section and a thick tar of distortion. The second track reminds of Cale's early Sun Blindness sessions. Psych / Noise / Experimental / Drone / whatever from the legendary Cincinnati act. The cover art features a strategically degraded still from Jean Rollin's “La Vampire Nue”. Ltd x 1000.
CONSUMER ELECTRONICS "TEENAGE NUREMBURG" CD - € 8
Consumer Electronics is the work of Mr. Philip Best (Whitehouse,Male Rape Group, Ramleh just to name a few!) Pioneer of power electronics and noise whos been at it since the early 80s in his early teenage years while we were all still sucking on our mothers breast and crying like retards" (No Fun). Teenage Nuremburg is his legendary album on Pure.
BIG CITY ORCHESTRA "INSTRUCTION FOR USE" CD - € 8
Sample- based plunderphonic noise comedy and other strange soundworks from the legendary BCO. This San Francisco native delivers dense swirling tones, stolen cultural detritus, jarring blippage and screech, harsh ambience, and surrealist electronic musique concrete. Outstanding damaged collage noise.
DUE PROCESS "COMBINE I-XVIII" CD - € 10
Featuring Thomas Dimuzio, Ron Lessard (the man behind RRRecords) and John Wiggins, Due Process knows how to crank it out. While they can create a terrific din, the music actually leans a bit in the ambient direction, with lower dynamics and muffled timbres, albeit with a raucous pandemonium of noise just beneath the surface.
CAN'T "FINAL PERFORMANCE" CDR - € 6
A brief but skull-blowing set, five tracks for a total running time of fourteen minutes, with Can't rocking out some "home made" analog syntheszier based distorto belch with Jessica's shy/freaked/funny vocals and brontosaur industrial beats going gonzo, performed/recorded at Jessica's parent house. Nice! One of the better homemade electronic spaz documents we've landed on lately. Hand assembled packaging in the Pure/RRRecords wallet style. . (RRrecords)
CAN'T "CAN'T VS THE WORLD" CD - € 8
Another full disc of lush mangled sweetness from artist/synth torturer Jessica Rylan, which precedes the harrowing bedroom vibes of the Final Performace CD-R we listed a while back. We totally dug that disc, and this one is even radder, a distillation of middle school angst and broken hearts through brutally remixed versions of nostalgiac roller-rink pop trash like "Too Shy", "Songbird", Kenny G jazz slop, and Christopher Cross, all blasted to smithereens by overmodulated distortion, the original hook napalmed by tons of skkrrch and beaten to death by rumbling, earth shuddering bass grooves.
THURSTON MOORE "PLEASE JUST LEAVE ME (MY PAUL DESMOND)" CD - € 8
Solo noise trek from SONIC YOUTH's mainman, Thurston Moore. Guitar abuse, sonic mayhem and weird avant jazz – believe me, not a great deal like the chap's main band!. One long track, at just over 30 minutes. On the RRR Pure imprint with the usual hand-made and uniquely printed covers. . (RRrecords)

SCRATCH AND SNIFF ENTERTAINMENT

IOVAE "CIVILIZATION" CD - € 10
"...Here layers of brutal droning, ferocious fuzz and other various eardrum shredding devices are seamlessly soldered together to produce a work that delivers an almost hallucinatory impact. Sounds that were once identifiable as just noise slowly take on a form of their own. As Civilization really begins to slide, these begin to mutate into a more detailed (and spikier) soundtrack. At its best, Civilization is the sound of everything falling apart." - The Wire
DEVILLOCK "THESE GRAVES" CD - € 8
Devillock is Justin Chris Meyers on organ, tapes and electronics. He offers four tracks of densely layered sound, knitting all the sounds he can find together. Slowing down old reel to reel tapes on the title track provide another dark gesture in this music. (...) Noise as it's supposed to be: menacing, not by the harshness of it's sound, but by the content of what its sound has to offer. Despite it's title and bandname, I think it's a much more serious affair than the average noise attack. Great stuff.” – Frans DeWard, Vital Weekly No. 494
MAMMAL "DOUBLE NATURE" CD - € 10
Really, this is an intensely unpleasurable record. When the beats do emerge in these four long tracks, they are sick, withered, fried, dead. I don't mean all of these adjectives in a negative sense. – Blastitude 16

SOTTOMONDO

TEATRO SATANICO "MUZAKILLER" CD - € 15
The noise-music of Teatro Satanico is a true “Satanic Mess”! This approx. 45 minutes of rough, strange and weird electronic noise, blended and messed up with Italian language and Veneto dialect devilish lyrics, are the first audio-cd tracks available by this in-famous Italian project. This enhanced CD contains also an mpeg format video clip version of a T.S. “PICCINA” (a.k.a. “Marta”), rendered by Muzakiller, a collective of anarch-antinomian artists devoted to perverted underground art. (label description)
KIMIKOWA "KIMIKOWA" CD - € 15
This full-lenght album is the summary of Kimikowa's psycho-ritual aptitude and their analogue electronic instrumentation techno-mania (moog filters, arp odissey and other analogue synths). Seven tracks for seven improvisations for seven psycho-melodic dimensions: live electronic music, freak-kraut-rock-industrial jam sessions for the new millenium. (label description)
DEV "DAMONISCHE" CD - € 15
Certainly it is not essential to know that DeV is the solo project of Teatro Satanico's deviLs g. for noticing that “Dämonische” is clearly a Satanic album, even though its own timbres seem to be of an entirely different kind, where droning and glitching suddenly turn into harsh atmosphere clouds and keep going on mysterious listening paths. “Dämonische” tells more than its tale, it puts a new twist on the Satanic plot, or perhaps, and more to the point, it calls on its listeners to decrypt new lines made of pulsating noise for electronics and voice. (label description)

SPATTER

BLACK LEATHER JESUS "FIRST YOU DESTROY THEIR FAITH" CD - € 13
Black Leather Jesus has been something of an umbrella project for collective works of a number of various noise/experimental artists. In its best years, BLJ included as many as 13 members. It was originally formed by Richard Ramirez in 1989 and is still active nowadays, 15 years later. This new release on Spatter is another great chapter in the BLJ saga. Killer harsh noise.
